About Us

Moris J. Roso is the Founder and Principal of MJR Partners.

With more than 30 years in the insurance industry, Moris’s experience includes advising business owners, executives, affluent families, and corporations both public and private.

His areas of specialization include life insurance, estate planning, employee benefits and corporate executive benefits. Moris holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation.

Moris began his career in the insurance field in 1986 after graduating from Syracuse University with a dual BS Degree in Marketing and Management Information Systems (MIS). From 1986 to 1992, he worked in various capacities at a large privately owned advisory firm in NYC, where he helped design, implement and service complex life insurance and estate plans.

In 1992, Moris joined the management team of a Met Life affiliate as the Agency Director of Marketing and Advance Sales. In this capacity, he was instrumental in running all aspects of the agency business as well as producing marketing and strategic plans in the areas of estate and insurance planning, executive benefits and retirement plans.

From 1998 until founding MJR Partners, Moris was part of a boutique insurance advisory firm where he worked in tandem with attorneys and CPAs in preparing life insurance and estate plans for high net worth families. Additionally, he worked with corporations in designing their employee and executive benefits’ plans.

Since founding MJR Partners in 2001, Moris has expanded his specialties to include employee benefits and consulting to small to midsize firms, either as the Broker or Consultant.

Moris resides in New York City with his wife and two young children.
